Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
Hannah Terpstra MA, CT
Counselling Therapist
My Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered and holistic. This means that I will work collaboratively with you to find the best path to move forward toward healing and wholeness. We often explore how our past experiences inform what is happening for you currently.
My practice is informed by many different theories and modalities. Some I commonly use are:
CBT, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, ACT, and Narrative Therapy. Im trained in Level 2 of the Gottman Method for Couples Counselling. I enjoy sharing resources that may be helpful for you between sessions and occasionally utilize worksheets as well. My therapy space is bright, comfortable and centrally located in downtown Charlottetown.
It’s important to find a therapist that’s a good fit. Let’s chat!
I always tell my clients about the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Studies have shown that the relationship between therapist and client is a big part of success in therapy. I would love to chat with you to see if we can work together.
